Procurement Officer


The Role

Due to continued growth we are currently looking for a Procurement Officer to join our vendor management team at our Bristol HQ.

Our procurement and vendor management department is currently going through an exciting transformation at group level, and so this role will offer the opportunity to work with our European colleagues and to be a key support for our procurement and vendor strategy moving forward allowing you to have a real impact. This opportunity has a high degree of autonomy and alongside this Triodos has a culture of continuous improvement allowing you to bring your ideas to the team and other areas of the business.

As Procurement officer you will support the TBUK Procurement team on key activities such as stakeholder and supplier communication, organising meetings, minute taking, maintaining supplier records and logs, highlight reporting, tracking tasks, supplier contract management, service level management and other ad-hoc activities as required.

Other key responsibilities will require you to:

  • Support the management of key supplier relationships in line with relevant policies
  • Provide support to second and third lines (risk, compliance, audit) to answer information requests from regulators, external and internal audit
  • Support with queries from Contract Managers, Contract Owners and Service Managers on questions of procurement and contract management
  • Participate and/or provide advice to local and international projects within areas of Procurement to ensure procurement activities are in line internal policies
  • Coordinate and assist in contract management and service level management activities in line with the relevant Triodos Policies for designated supplier relationships
  • Ensure procurement documentation is well organised and stored with a full audit trail
  • Undertake research as delegated by the Procurement Manager
  • Manage smaller ad-hoc pieces of work, as delegated by the Procurement Manager
  • Identify and raise continuous improvement suggestions, to improve efficiency and delivery with time/cost constraints
  • Use spreadsheets to intermediate level e.g. formulas, data analysis and summarising date for reporting
  • Comply with all regulatory obligations and internal governance to help ensure ethical behaviour which delivers fair outcomes for TBUK customers

What we are looking for:

To be successful in this role you will have some procurement experience gained in a regulated industry, ideally combined with experience of online procurement systems and tools, and in managing suppliers relationships. You will have the ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels and will have excellent organisational skills allowing you to prioritise and meet multiple deadlines

Good working knowledge of MS Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to work autonomously are also required for this opportunity. The role requires you to be in our Bristol office twice a week, with a choice to work from home the other days.

In return for your hard work and expertise, you will receive a salary of between 28k - 34k FTE depending on experience, plus access to our extensive benefits package, where most of our benefits are non-contributory!

From January 2023 Our benefits include:

  • Non-contributory pension scheme from your first day of 8% in year 1 and 10% from year 2 onwards
