Triodos Bank is one of the founders of The Global Alliance for Banking on Values, a global network of independent banks using finance to deliver sustainable economic, social, and environmental development. We are please to support the GABV in their search for a dynamic and passionte professional who is interested in the role of Communications Support Officer.

About the role

As a Communications Support Officer at the GABV, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Communications & Marketing in various tasks related to maintaining effective communication channels and promoting the GABV’s mission.

This a relatively junior role that’s focused on executing clearly defined tasks with opportunities to develop your communications and marketing expertise. It requires a multifaceted individual with a passion for sustainable and ethical banking and excellent communication skills across various internal and external platforms. You are flexible when facing differing tasks and enjoy a busy and varied workload.

This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career and gain (relevant) experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.

Your Tasks:

Content & Social Media Management:

  • Develop and execute a content calendar for social media platforms and other corporate channels (internal and external newsletter, online community space, events, etc.).
  • Create engaging content and posts to amplify GABV's message and activities.
  • Conduct social listening and monitoring to track conversations, trends, and engage with the target audiences effectively.
  • Set ads campaigns and monitor results.
  • Monitor and search for news, updates, and awards from GABV's 70 member banks through their websites and social media channels. Curate relevant stories and best practices in the network that showcase the impact of values-based banking.
  • Produce visual assets and graphics using tools like Canva to complement written content for social media and website use.
  • Ensure visual content is in line with GABV's branding guidelines and resonates with the target audience.

Website maintenance:

  • Regularly update and manage website content, including news, articles, event descriptions, and member bank updates.
  • Copywriting: Craft compelling stories, articles, and event descriptions for publication on the GABV website and other communication channels.
  • Ensure written content aligns with the organisation's values and resonates with the target audience.
  • Manage Google Analytics.

Community Management:

  • Support the coordination of the Marcomms Community of Practice, a group of experts in Marketing and Communication from the network. E.g. Onboarding calls, individual follow-up with members, set up regular calls, organise webinars and workshops, co-create shared campaigns on key topics, etc.
  • Update and moderate the internal community space to foster engagement and collaboration among GABV members. Welcome new members, manage database, create tutorials, etc.
  • Produce new content and set up events registration pages.
  • Regularly update GABV members’ profiles, news and events.

Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Develop, track, and analyse key performance indicators related to communication efforts, including website traffic, social media engagement, content reach, and audience growth.
  • Contribute to prepare reports assessing the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Utilize analytics tools to measure the impact of communication initiatives and ensure they align with established goals and objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Marketing/Communication departments or agency.
  • Proven experience in website management and UX copywriting (Wordpress and Elementor), email marketing (Mailchimp) and social media management (Hootsuite).
  • Experience in content creation tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Fluency in English as a native or bilingual speaker.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.
  • Basic video editing knowledge is an asset.
  • Digital marketing skills and familiarity with digital analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid position and within a global and multicultural team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
